Galaxy too good for Tshepo Stars

The Sporting Galaxy seniors recorded their second league win beat Tshepo Stars 5-3 in a tightly contested game at Giant Stadium on Sunday.

The boys showed character as they held their nerve to hold on to the lead which sees them move to six points from four matches.

A hatrick from David Lekota as well as a goal each from Nkube ‘Scara’ Setshedi and Freedom was enough to seal a memorable win in the absence of coach Masala Mugaga.

Bapela was in charge of the team following Mugaga’s absence as he had to attend a family bereavement.

“It’s a good win indeed, we just need to work on our defence to avoid conceding goals. Above all the team has done well on its debut season with 50 percent record and hopefully the boys will become more consistent,” said the Club CEO Clyde Tlou

The boys will go to their next game with a major boost as they welcome back coach Masala on the bench on Sunday.
