Galaxy Snr. go down fighting

The Sporting Galaxy Senior team made their league debut with a 4-2 loss to Amie Joe at the Giant Stadium on Sunday 24 February 2013.

Goals from the pair of midfielder Stanley  Mphakawe and defender Fhulufhelo Sikhipha were not enough to secure victory for us.

They boys played their hearts out but were unlucky to conceed two penalties that resulted in goals and defeat in the hands of the league's seasoned campaigners.

One of the senior players apologised to the Galaxy fans and management for the loss and promised that they will bounce back in fine style as the league is a marathon.

"Our apologies as part of senior team ,we promise that the next game will go all out ,will do our best , we still got a lot to do, will make u proud of us ,not long but short. Our couch (Steward Baxter, Masala ) knows what his doing will be like Amakhosi ,in no time," Thabo Sebidi said on the club's Facebook page.

The Galaxy Snr. will look to bounce back this Sunday when they play their second match of the season.
